Trek into the Annapurna Sanctuary, a ring of giant peaks, to reach Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 metres.
Drive or fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara and settle in by Phewa Lake. In the evening your guide checks your gear and goes through the plan.
Drive to Nayapul and walk uphill past rice terraces to the Gurung village of Ghandruk, with views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare.
Cross the valley and climb through forest to Chhomrong, the last large village on the trail.
Descend stone steps to a river, then climb through bamboo and rhododendron forest.
Climb above the tree line into the sanctuary, with peaks coming closer all day.
A short, steady walk to Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 metres. Stay the night in the sanctuary and watch the peaks at sunset.
Catch sunrise over the Annapurna ring, then walk down the valley to Bamboo.
Walk down through Chhomrong and Sinuwa, then soak in the natural hot springs at Jhinu Danda.
A final walk to Nayapul and a drive back to Pokhara. Celebrate with dinner by the lake.
Transfer back to Kathmandu by road or flight. The trek ends on arrival.
