Ride the cable car up Chandragiri Hills for Himalayan views and a golden-hour sunset over the valley.
Chandragiri is a hill on the western edge of the Kathmandu Valley with some of the best sunset views in the area. A modern cable car takes you from the valley floor to the top, where a hilltop temple, a viewing deck and walking paths look out over Kathmandu and a long line of Himalayan peaks. We time the trip so you arrive in the afternoon and stay for sunset, then ride back down as the lights of the city come on. It is an easy, relaxed outing that suits families and older travellers.
Yes. It is a modern cable car that runs on a regular schedule. It may pause in strong wind or bad weather.
